WALL Y 2 LIGHT BLACK TABLE LAMP BY MICHELE REGINALDI

Part homage to a beloved cinematic robot, part precision design object, the WALL Y 2 LIGHT BLACK TABLE LAMP BY MICHELE REGINALDI is one of the most immediately recognisable pieces in contemporary lighting. The shade — a pair of side-by-side glossy black cylindrical tubes joined at the centre and angled upward like a monocular scope — references the expressive binocular eyes of WALL-E, the endearing animated robot, with affectionate wit and considerable design intelligence.

The shade is fully orientable, allowing its dual beam to be directed precisely where light is needed, making Wall-y as functional as it is sculptural. Its glossy black lacquer finish is immaculate — deeply reflective, contrasting the soft gradient of light that spills from each open tube end when the two included E14 dimmable bulbs are engaged. A dimmer switch is integrated, giving complete control over mood and intensity.

The binocular head sits balanced atop a slender brass gold rod that rises from a compact cubic black base — the vertical line of warm gold holding the horizontal drama of the shade in elegant visual tension. A black fabric cable completes the composition with considered restraint.
